Pervez Khattak, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTI-P), resigned from the party on Saturday after a dismal result in the 2024 national elections.
On February 12, the PTI-P chief formally resigned from the party’s chairmanship and membership after announcing his intention to “take a break from politics.” He was once considered a close associate of PTI founder Imran Khan before forming his group.
News got a copy of Khattak’s resignation, which said that he resigned from the party’s leadership position “due to serious health issues.”
Reporter: “I hope this message finds you well. It is with a heavy heart that I write to tender my resignation from the position of party chairman and membership, effective today, due to serious health issues.”
