One news caught my attention as I read through the morning’s headlines: the 80-year-old Peshawar monument, the Naz Cinema, had been reduced to ruins.
It was just another piece of news to many. However, it was the loss of yet another cultural treasure for art and film enthusiasts.
When my cameraman and I arrived at the location, all I saw were bricks and rubble. But I could hear my son’s voice in my head:
“The new “Fast and Furious” film is available, Mama. After my examinations, let’s travel to Islamabad to see it.
We’ve been going to Islamabad for years only to see a good movie because Peshawar doesn’t have a good theater.
