Under the ‘Football 4 Hope’ program, the Pakistan Football League (PFL) has begun delivering 100,000 footballs of international quality to young, gifted children in Pakistan, according to PFL Chairman Farhan Ahmed Junejo.
He added that over 10,000 footballs had already been given in various places over the previous three days. According to him, more than 2,500 footballs have been handed out in Lyari, Karachi, thus far.
“We are distributing footballs to small kids and hoping for smiles in exchange. You give us a grin, and we give you a ball. Football for Hope: One ball, one smile.”
Football for Hope is PFL’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, and as such, the league will launch a festival highlighting the social impact of football, honoring the accomplishments of underprivileged youngsters, and encouraging hope via the game.”The goal of Football 4 Hope is to unite Pakistan’s four provinces in order to promote national unity,” he continued. It aims to provide kids who have given up on football a better future and keep them from becoming enmeshed in other social problems. Football fosters solidarity, confidence, and a sense of pride in the underdog in all its forms—from spontaneous games in slums to matches on mountain tops, street football throughout Pakistan, school academies, and stadium championships. No matter where it is played, it brings the country together in optimism.
