Premier League official David Coote’s continued “welfare” is “important to us” as the refereeing authority PGMOL continues its probe into his actions.
Last week, Coote was placed on leave while an inquiry into a video that surfaced showed the 42-year-old making what appeared to be derogatory comments about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was conducted.
The Football Association also started its own investigation into the footage, which the PGMOL is treating as authentic even though the news hasn’t confirmed it.
“We are following an internal process and taking the allegations into David Coote’s conduct very seriously as part of our ongoing full and thorough investigation,” the PGMOL stated in a statement.
