By the first quarter of 2025, Pakistan hopes to have permission from British aviation authorities to start operating direct flights to the UK again.
This optimistic view comes after Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) Director General Nadir Shafi Dar told Business Recorder.
Dar affirmed that the third week of January 2025 is set aside for a significant inspection visit by representatives of the UK’s Department for Transport and Civil Aviation Authority. This comes after Pakistani and UK officials are scheduled to meet virtually to discuss the resumption during the third week of December 2024.
Based on the European Union’s recent successful evaluation, Dar expressed confidence that he would receive operational permission within weeks of the January inspection.
