Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday that “witchcraft” won’t help the cash-strapped nation escape its economic problems, emphasizing the necessity for hard labor and austerity.
The nation’s chief executive, who took office in March of this year, made the comments at the Prime Minister’s Office during an address to the Special Investment and Facilitation Council’s (SIFC) apex committee during its tenth meeting.
Speaking to the civil-military forum that was set up to draw in foreign investment, the prime minister said that coordinated efforts were being made to address the issues facing the nation.
Giving a briefing to the attendees about his recent travels to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister Shehbaz stated that in the meetings, foreign delegations and leaders conveyed their contentment with the SIFC’s performance.
