Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, has urged the US government under Joe Biden to recognize Pakistan’s influence on international affairs and to establish positive relations with the nation.
This was said by PM Kakar in a Wednesday interview with CNBC on the fringes of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
In response to a question about Pakistan’s message to the Biden administration ahead of the elections on February 8, the prime minister stated, “We Pakistan should be constructively engaged. Pakistan is a country of consequence, not a country of concern.”
Pakistan is a mid-sized power, according to PM Kakar, and its true potential and significance must be recognized.
According to him, acknowledging Pakistan’s significance in the region and globally is imperative. In response to a query, the acting prime minister emphasized the necessity of a regional strategy to address the threat of terrorism.
In response to a question concerning ties with China, Prime Minister Kakar stated that Pakistan and Beijing have strategic alliances.
He remarked that Pakistan’s relationship with China is unaffected by events in the area or elsewhere.
