During a phone call with Kuwait’s prime minister, Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah, on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed his commitment to transforming bilateral relations with Kuwait into a successful partnership.
According to the information, PM Shehbaz emphasized the need of fostering economic cooperation and trade between the two friendly nations as the two leaders exchanged greetings on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
This comes after the premier called a number of leaders, including those of Malaysia, Qatar, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to wish them a happy Eid. The calls were placed the day before.
In a conversation with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, PM Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s wish to maintain tight ties with Islamabad and Doha.
He reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to strengthening trade and economic ties with both nations.
The prime minister also extended his invitation to the emir of Qatar to come to Pakistan on an official visit, to which the emir replied that he would be happy to come as soon as possible.
In the meantime, the premier emphasized the long-standing and deep-rooted ties between the two nations in a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He also reiterated his commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation in all areas of shared interest.
