MUZAFFARABAD: Reiterating Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged India to participate in substantive and decisive negotiations to address the Kashmir dispute on Wednesday.
Speaking to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly at a special session on Kashmir Solidarity Day, which is observed annually on February 5, Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed the solidarity of Pakistan’s 240 million citizens with their Kashmiri counterparts.
He honored the martyrs of the Kashmiri resistance and emphasized that Pakistan’s dedication to their cause is renewed every February 5.
The premier claimed that despite tyranny, the spirit of freedom among Kashmiris is still growing and denounced India’s growing military presence in the area.
