Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, praised China on Thursday for continuing to assist Pakistan in spite of the accord with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The premier discussed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and stated, “The IT, minerals, and other sectors will be promoted during the second phase of the CPEC,” while speaking at an event in Islamabad in honor of China’s 75th National Day.
“We are excited to have the Chinese premier visit us next month,” the premier stated.
President Asif Ali Zardari, meanwhile, offered his opinions, saying, “China has bagged a landmark achievement on the economic grounds.”
