LONDON: Hasan Nawaz, the son of PML-N President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has been designated a “deliberate tax defaulter” by the UK government’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
Hasan’s name was added to the UK government’s updated list of defaulters on its official website, designating him as a willful tax defaulter.
Hasan Nawaz was deemed a “tax defaulter” by the UK government because he neglected to pay £9.4 million in taxes between April 5, 2015, and April 6, 2016.
The same website states that the son of the former prime minister has been fined £5.2 million by the UK tax department. From April 6, 2015, until April 5, 2016, there was a default.
