On Monday, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong received assurances from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that he will personally supervise the inquiry into the violent assault on a Chinese convoy in Karachi that claimed the lives of two Chinese citizens.
Three people were killed and ten more were injured in the late-night attack near Karachi’s airport, according to Pakistani authorities and the Chinese consulate. The attack was attributed to a terrorist organization that is outlawed.
