Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, stated on Thursday that he is determined to improve Azerbaijan’s collaboration in a number of areas.
The premier stated, “The trade volume between Pakistan and Azerbaijan amounts to $100 million.” He emphasized how critical it is to fortify the bonds of respect, trust, and cooperation that are the foundation of the two countries’ relationship.

In the meantime, a number of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) intended to promote collaboration in a range of disciplines were signed by both nations. These include accords pertaining to commerce, oil, foreign policy, law and justice, the defense sector, and the privatization of public property.
On behalf of Pakistan, the MoUs were signed by the federal minister of privatization.
On invitation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan arrived in Pakistan earlier today on a two-day official visit from July 11–12.
At the airport, PM Shehbaz and his cabinet members, including Ministers of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Interior Mohsin Naqvi, gave President Aliyev a cordial welcome.
