Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged a stop to the nation’s use of hate speech and abusive language as the country commemorated the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on Tuesday.
“We should take a moment to reflect on the separation in society, the use of abusive words, and cruel actions. In light of the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), we must remove these undesirable conducts,” the premier declared at an event in Lahore to mark the 12th Rabi ul Awal commemoration.
PM Shehbaz urged the country to work together to fight extremism and division, saying that our hands and lips should not participate in any actions that the Prophet (PBUH) prohibited.
“We must play our part in reforming a society marred by offensive language,” he stated.
