Following outstanding spinner bowling in the first Test match at Multan Cricket Stadium, the Pakistan men’s cricket team defeated the West Indies by 127 runs in a “spectacular victory” that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised on Sunday.
With Sajid Khan taking five wickets in the second innings today, Pakistan’s spinners wiped out the visitors as they chased a target of 251, ending the opening game of the two-match series with a 127-run victory.
Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed claimed 4-27 as West Indies were knocked for 123, well short of their winning target, while Sajid grabbed 5-50 for match numbers of 9-115.
PM Shehbaz stated in an X post: “Team Pakistan bowled brilliantly! We congratulate our cricket team on their outstanding win. “Shabash!”
