Nawaz Sharif, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz for their efforts to provide the public during a meeting with members of the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday.
CM Maryam was also present at the meeting, which focused on public service initiatives, development, and the nation’s general state of affairs.
According to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Monday, consumer price index (CPI) inflation in January 2025 eased significantly to 2.4% year-on-year, down from 4.1% in December of last year and a startling 28.3% in January 2024, indicating a slight recovery in Pakistan’s economy.
As a result of lessening pricing pressures in both urban and rural areas, this represented the lowest inflation rate in more than two years.
