RAWALPINDI: Siddiqul Farooq, a senior member of the Pakistan Mulsim League-Nawaz (PML-N), passed away on Sunday.
The seasoned lawmaker had a heart condition, according to family sources.
Farooq held positions as PML-N’s information secretary, head of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), and press secretary to three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif during his political career.
His funeral prayers are scheduled for Monday (tomorrow) at 11 a.m. at the H-11 graveyard in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif responded to the sad news by expressing sorrow over the passing of the late PML-N leader.
