Senator Talal Chaudhry of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) praised the Pakistan Army’s internal accountability process as a model and hinted at more stringent measures in the near future, saying that “more institutions will follow the trend of accountability”.
Declaring in a statement today that “the accountability process has started in Pakistan after 75 years,” Chaudhry also alluded to the investigations and arrests of former spymaster Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hamid and other former service members.
He noted that the internal accountability process would also need to be started by political parties.
