Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg announced Tuesday that the police officers who detained Scottie Scheffler will be reviewed to determine whether they followed correct process.
Scheffler was arrested just outside Valhalla Golf Club early Friday morning on his way to the course and charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, a felony, among other misdemeanors.
“I think that’s critically important that we do that, not just in high-profile events like [those that] took place on Friday, but on a regular basis,” Greenberg told the Louisville Courier-Journal. “If policies are not followed, there will be transparency about it. “There will be action taken.”
