Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was freed by the Islamabad police on Tuesday in response to the NOC breach related to the Sangjani power show.
Details indicate that Khan was cleared of the charges brought against him at the Sangjani police station by the Islamabad police.
Prior to this, the Islamabad police had detained a number of prominent PTI figures for violating standard operating procedures (SOPs) at a rally that was conducted in the capital’s Sangjani neighborhood and for failing to conclude the event by the designated date.
Prominent individuals, including PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Sher Afzal Marwat, Shoaib Shaheen, Zain Qureshi, Sheikh Waqas Akram, and twelve other PTI members, were taken into custody as a result of the police action, which happened late on Monday night.
