On Monday, police in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, organized a protest sit-in against terrorist assaults that target law enforcement personnel. They staged a demonstration along the Indus Highway.
The northwest province’s hotspots have been Lakki Marwat and the nearby Bannu district following an increase in terrorist activity in Pakistan. The Counter-Terrorism Department center in Bannu was evacuated in 2022 following a four-day siege during which extremists held law enforcement officers captive.
It is worth mentioning here that the district has seen an increase in terrorist incidents in the previous month; in the last week alone, five police officers have been slain in shooting attacks by unidentified men.
After a string of terrorist attacks, law enforcement officers began to man the streets.
