Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, voiced hope for the country’s economy on Wednesday, saying he hoped it will keep growing in a favorable path.
Details indicate that PM Shehbaz expressed pleasure with the progress made during a review meeting on economic growth and investment held in Islamabad. He credited his economic team’s efforts for the success. “By the grace of the Higher Power, the efforts of our economic team are reaping benefits,” he said.
The prime minister accepted that the recent credit rating upgrading of Pakistan by Moody’s represented a global support of the government’s economic policy.
The prime minister said, “We sacrificed our politics for the sake of the country, saving the economy from default,” in reflection on the difficulties encountered under the previous administration.
