The PPP Punjab branch proposed an electoral partnership with the PTI for the seats of women and technocrats in Punjab.
The idea came after the PTI made a conditional offer to the PPP’s special committee. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) urged the PPP to vote for Yasmin Rashid.
According to sources, in return, the PPP offered to assist Faiza Malik in women’s seats.
The Punjab chapter party leadership was directed by the PPP to align with its political allies, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), rather than PTI.
