ISLAMABAD: In protest of the cabinet members’ continued absence from proceedings, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPs staged a walkout from the National Assembly on Thursday, leading to the prorogation of the 11th session before of its scheduled conclusion, according to The News.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who chairs the business advisory group, had originally intended for the meeting to continue until today, December 20.
Parliamentarians from the PPP, the government’s coalition partner, have been complaining about the lack of ministers in charge of handling matters related to their individual ministries for the past week.
