At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in China on Tuesday for a five-day official visit.
A delegation that included Dr. Asim Hussain, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar accompanied him.
Chinese Finance Minister Lan Fo’an, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, and China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong greeted President Zardari warmly upon his arrival at Beijing International Airport.
The president will meet with Premier Li Qiang, President Xi Jinping, and other high-ranking Chinese officials while in the country.
The two parties will talk about topics of shared interest, such as security cooperation, regional connectivity, and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
