News believes that Knoops, which is in the process of obtaining £5 million to fund its expansion, will announce that Julian Metcalfe, a shareholder in the company, will become a non-executive director.
Mr Metcalfe will work alongside Alice Avis, the former chair and CEO of Sanctuary Spa Group.
Andrew Gerrie, co-founder of the cosmetics business Lush, is leading the fundraising efforts.
Knoops stated that the new cash would be utilized to further its international expansion.

Mr Metcalfe stated that Knoops, like Itsu, is a forward-thinking, confident brand with a sense of purpose and a passion for excellence.
“They don’t come around that often and I applaud their leadership and vision.”
Ms Avis added, “I truly believe Knoops has found a real’sweet spot’ in the food and beverage market and, as a result, has an exciting, international future ahead of it.”
