As the most important member of the Royal Family, Prince George’s life will alter on his birthday.
Prince William’s son, who is second in line for the throne, will be 12 this year. He may be asked to board an airplane apart from his father on this occasion.
In the unlikely event of an unfavorable incident, the Royal Family rule helps ensure that both heirs are not on the same plane.
Graham Laurie, the former pilot for King Charles, said in an interview with HELLO Magazine’s “A Right Royal Podcast”: “It’s interesting to note that up until Prince William was 12 years old, we flew all four: the Prince, the Princess, Prince William, and Prince Harry.
“He had to have a different aircraft after that, and we could only fly all four of them together when they were small with the written permission of Her Majesty. When William became 12, he would fly normally in a 125 from Northolt and we would fly the 146 out with the other three on.”
