Prince Harry, the younger son of Britain’s King Charles, appears to have received a strong message from the monarch, as the duke intends to return to the UK to serve the queen and the royal family.
“We need and benefit greatly from those who extend the hand of friendship to us, especially in a time of need,” King Charles states in his letter.
The 2024 Royal Maundy Service featured a recorded message played for the congregation at Worcester Cathedral in place of King Charles, who was unable to attend.
King Charles states in his message: “We are fortunate to have access to so many diverse services in this nation that are dedicated to our well-being. However, in addition to these organizations and their dedicated employees, we also tremendously benefit from and depend on people who offer assistance.
Following the monarch’s cancer diagnosis, Prince Harry declared that he was prepared to serve his father and the monarchy. This led to King Charles sending out a forceful message.
The Times reported that Harry is willing to temporarily return to a royal function in order to help King Charles following his cancer diagnosis.
