ISLAMABAD: In honor of Prince Karim Aga Khan’s funeral, Pakistan will mark Saturday, February 8, as a national day of sorrow.
“The Prime Minister has declared a day of national mourning in Pakistan on Saturday, the 8th of February, 2025, on the occasion of His High Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan’s funeral, expressing profound grief on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan on the sad demise of His Highness,” according to a notification released by the Cabinet Division.
The announcement further stated that on that day, the national flag will fly at half-mast across the nation.
According to an Ismaili community representative, Aga Khan IV’s funeral will be held in Lisbon on Saturday.
