Lee Sun-kyun, the star of Parasite, died of apparent suicide only four days after the police rejected his appeal.
The 48-year-old actor was discovered deceased inside his parked automobile in Seoul’s Waryong Park on December 27.
Presumably, Lee committed suicide because of the strain and attention he was under as a result of an ongoing drug inquiry, which claimed he had taken illicit narcotics at the home of a bar hostess.

He insisted that hostess “A” had duped him into consuming narcotics and he would not back down from the accusations.
The attorneys said that Lee had lately asked the police to refrain from revealing to the media the location of the upcoming session of interrogation. The authorities, however, turned down his petition and made public the specifics of Lee’s questioning.
The actor from My Mister’s attorney informed the press the day before his death was discovered that his client felt “burdened” by his public appearances and that’s why they wanted the interrogation to take place in private.
