Rawalpindi: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday granted party founder Imran Khan’s bail request in the new Toshakhana case, marking a significant step ahead of the PTI’s impending protest on November 24.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the IHC granted Khan’s bail request against two Rs. 1 million surety bonds, each of which needs to be provided by a different guarantor.
Following the most recent development, the PTI founder is no longer wanted in any other matter under Islamabad’s jurisdiction.
The former prime minister was warned by the IHC not to “misuse the concession of bail and appear before the trial Court on each and every date of hearing unless a specific exemption is granted.”
If the petitioner [Imran] does not comply with the terms of the bail, it may be withdrawn.
