On Wednesday, the 21-year-old Briton declared that she would not be participating in the Hong Kong Open, which begins on October 28.
Raducanu hasn’t played since she sprained her foot’s ligaments against Daria Kasatkina in the quarterfinals of the Korea Open on September 21.
The former US Open winner has only participated in two events since July and has now missed five consecutive tournaments.
Raducanu posted on X., external, “Even though my foot is improving nicely, I need a little more time before I am match fit.”
In the future, I hope to be able to return and participate in this tournament.
With Britain’s opening match against Germany on November 15, Raducanu hopes to be fully recovered for the Billie Jean King Cup finals, which will be held in Malaga from November 13-20.
