With the successful upgrade and reactivation of its Web Management System (WMS), the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is stepping up its efforts to combat illicit websites, online content, and mobile applications.
PTA has increased its efforts against digital platforms that break federal laws since the upgrade. According to official papers, the WMS has blocked 2,369 websites that were discovered to be providing prohibited content in addition to 183 mobile applications that were declared illegal.
According to sources, the WMS is efficiently keeping an eye on online content within the parameters of its technical capabilities, making sure that any site that violates Pakistan’s digital laws is immediately blocked.
The improved system is a component of PTA’s larger plan to control the digital sphere and guarantee that internet use in the nation complies with legal and moral requirements.
