Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) announced in a statement that there have been problems with its internet services in a number of the nation’s cities.
A PTCL representative said in a statement, “At this time, the PTCL network is experiencing data outages in multiple cities as a result of which connectivity has been affected.”
The representative continued, “Our staff are actively working to resolve and rectify the situation as soon as possible.
The extensive interruption of the internet in Pakistan was confirmed by Netblocks, a platform that monitors internet outages, digital governance, and connectivity, in a statement published on X.
PTCL’s internet services are interrupted nationwide.
“Live network data show a nation-scale disruption to internet connectivity in Pakistan,” Netblocks stated.It claimed analytics verifying user allegations of a “widespread outage” show national connection at 24% of typical levels.
The interruption of internet services in the nation has also been verified by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
