Following a call for nationwide protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, bus services in the twin towns of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have been suspended.
To keep the peace and protect the people, authorities have increased their police presence in reaction to the possible unrest.
In advance of the protests, the decision to suspend bus services is intended to control traffic and avoid massive gatherings.
