The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, or PTI, has disassociated itself from former First Lady Bushra Bibi’s allegations that Saudi Arabia was involved in her husband, Imran Khan, being removed from his position as prime minister.
The party made it clear that her comments were her own and did not represent the official position of the PTI.
Bushra Bibi has no organizational role inside the PTI and no obligations within the party structure, according to Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s advisor on information and public relations, who spoke to Geo News.
“The PTI’s official stance can only be expressed by the party chairman or secretary general,” Saif stated.
He dismissed her remarks, saying, “Her statement was not issued on behalf of the party, and it is baseless to link her personal views with PTI policy.”
