ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced its split with veterans and YouTubers Adil Raja and Haider Mehdi, urging people not to trust them.
In a video message, PTI leader Asad Qaiser, backed by Sher Afzal Marwat and other party leaders, stated that their party had no affiliation with Raja or Mehdi.
“The PTI has its own media and spokespersons, so only statements issued by these official platforms should be acknowledged,” Qaiser stated, condemning their smear campaign against Marwat.
The PTI leader previously stated that the same YouTubers were behind social media campaigns targeting Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Parvez Elahi.
He also stated that the PTI leaders had never spoken out against the military, but their war over the constitution and the law will continue. He described the PTI’s founder as claiming that the country and army belonged to him.
“We simply want the supremacy of the constitution and the law,” he insisted.
