ISLAMABAD: The government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have failed to make progress in their background talks.
According to a reliable source, the government refused to allow PTI founder chairman Imran Khan to leave jail by Friday in order to cancel the protest march to Islamabad on November 24.
The imprisoned PTI founder chairman refused to accept the government’s promises of potential reprieve for Imran in the near future.
According to the source, in order to open the door for future negotiations, the government has now requested that the PTI stage a public rally in Sangjani and disperse peacefully that same day.
