Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), encouraged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to be present at the meeting of the parliamentary committee.
Details indicate that issues surrounding the appointment of Pakistan’s new chief justice continued to escalate the political climate. Rehman had spoken with PTI senior leader Asad Qaiser over the phone about this.
This time, Qaiser had asked for some time to decide whether or not to attend the meeting of the parliamentary committee.
