The Deputy Commissioner of Lahore has received a formal request from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) asking for permission to host a public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan on October 5.
PTI founder Imran Khan’s birth anniversary is being celebrated with this event, and the party has asked that the gathering take place from 5 to 10 p.m.
PTI has guaranteed, per the application, that all attendees will fully abide by all applicable laws and regulations throughout the event.
PTI Senior Vice President of Punjab Akmal Khan Bari made the plea, stressing the significance of the occasion in honoring the founder of the party’s birthday.
The party is requesting authorization to hold the gathering at the historically significant Minar-e-Pakistan.
