ISLAMABAD The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) pleaded with the Supreme Court on Monday to have its July 12 verdict implemented after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) submitted many objections to the short order’s execution. The short order was announced in the reserved seats case, weeks after the Supreme Court made its announcement.
In response to the ECP’s plea, the party representing the imprisoned Imran Khan filed a civil miscellaneous application through lawyer Uzair Bhandari advocate, asking the court to rule on several factual and legal aspects of the ruling.
On August 7, the electoral regulator appealed the brief ruling concerning the PTI and the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) in a review petition submitted to the highest court.
