ISLAMABAD: Two Supreme Court judges and members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party did not attend the Judicial Commission of Pakistan’s meeting to select new justices for the highest court.
They did not attend the meeting, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan revealed to reporters, adding: “The JCP meeting should have been postponed until the cases against the 26th Amendment were decided.”
Gohar added that when the JCP meeting concludes, it will be mentioned that two judges, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Munib Akhtar, had also chosen not to attend, in addition to the two opposition MPs, Senator Ali Zafar and Gohar.
