The Punjab government has declared that it will be extending its free bike program in an effort to lower costs and facilitate better access to schooling.
Bilal Akbar Khan, the provincial minister of transportation, presided over an evaluation of the program’s advancement. He declared that there are now 27,200 free bikes accessible to students, up from the previous 20,000. This implies that more students will profit from this worthwhile mode of transportation.
The decision made by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz prompted the minister to order officials to expedite all procedures in order to guarantee that free bikes are delivered to orphan students.
The initiative seeks to give orphaned youngsters more educational opportunities and mobility.
Mr. Khan stressed that in order to lessen the financial burden, the bike scheme’s installment plan has been maintained to a minimum.To make things even easier, the Punjab government is also paying for half of the advance payment.
Furthermore, the minister affirmed that, in accordance with the Chief Minister’s declaration, women who apply for electric motorcycles will also receive bikes.
