For the forthcoming academic year, the Punjab government has authorized major modifications to the curriculum for pupils in Classes 9 and 11.
This decision is part of a notice that the Ministry of Education released on Sunday, indicating a significant revision to the curriculum overseen by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB).
According to the notification, the PCTB has been instructed to publish updated textbooks that take these modifications into account. Many fundamental disciplines, including English, Urdu, Islamiat, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Computer Science, will be impacted by the altered syllabus.
A significant change to the curriculum is that Class 10 will now study Pakistan in-depth, with an emphasis on the historical and cultural relevance of the nation.
