Ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) “final call” rally, the Punjab government has taken a firm stand, declaring that it will handle demonstrators on November 24 in the same manner that it does terrorists.
“While they [PTI] might have plans A, B, and C, the state possesses the entire ‘ABC’,” Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari told reporters outside the Lahore High Court.
The former ruling party in Islamabad, which has repeatedly demanded the release of its imprisoned founder Imran Khan and the return of its mandate, which it claims was stolen in the February 8 elections, has announced an impending “do-or-die” demonstration. The provincial minister’s comments follow this announcement.
