Queen Camilla has been announced as Royal Patron of the British Racing School.
The institution which provides “World class apprenticeships and career pathways into the horseracing industry” also tweeted a picture of the queen with the news on social media.
The press release read, “The Queen is hugely committed to British racing and we are incredibly lucky and proud to have Her Majesty’s support.”
Queen Camilla has been assigned a new responsibility to promote horse racing.
Camilla assumed a leading position in the royal family’s racing heritage after Queen Elizabeth II passed away in September 2022. She and King Charles III jointly owned the late Queen’s racehorses and regularly attended races such as Royal Ascot and the Cheltenham Festival.
