Queen Camilla paid a visit to the Asian Women’s Resource Centre (AWRC), a nonprofit organization that supports Black, Minority, and Ethnic (BME) women and children who have experienced forced marriage, domestic violence, honor-based or faith-based abuse, or other forms of abuse.
The new Healing Garden at AWRC, a place for women, staff, and the community at large to contemplate and rejuvenate, was formally opened by the Queen to commemorate the organization’s 45th anniversary.
The London Borough of Brent is home to the grassroots nonprofit known as the Asian Women’s Resource Centre (AWRC).
The queen participated in an arts exercise intended to aid in trauma processing while touring the facility and meeting survivors of domestic abuse who have benefited from AWRC assistance.
