Since former ISI chief Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hamid is already in custody, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has questioned why former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa relocated terrorists in Pakistan.
Speaking to reporters at Parliament House on Thursday, Asif stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) inability to manage terrorism should be investigated first because it is a worldwide problem that requires a team effort to address.
The defense minister blamed the KP administration for the increase in terrorist attacks, claiming that it was more concerned with waging a political war against the ousted PTI head than with combating militants.
He charged that no action was being taken by the provincial administration to combat terrorism.
