The earthquake was reported at a depth of 29 kilometers and a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale, according to the Seismological Center.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located 65 kilometers northwest of Quetta. Around 10:15 AM, there was a brief period of fear among the locals due to the tremors, which prompted many of them to leave their buildings and congregate in open spaces as a precaution.
Thankfully, there have not yet been any reports of injuries or property damage. In the case of an aftershock, local officials have asked residents to follow basic safety procedures and to maintain their composure while being watchful.
Even with the earthquake’s severity, no areas of the capital or its surrounding areas have reported any injuries or property damage.
