QUETTA: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) stated on Thursday that a pipeline burst in Bolan will continue to have an impact on the gas supply to Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.
“The reason behind the pipeline’s explosion is being determined,” the firm said in a statement. “Quetta’s gas supply will be impacted as a result.”
The gas supply firm also mentioned that a crew has been sent to Bloan to fix the burst pipeline.
The greatest landmass in the nation has extremely low and even negative temperatures in certain areas, which emphasizes the need of gas access for people, particularly during the winter months.
Millions of Karachi kitchens are now frigid because gas intended for residential use is being sent to fertilizer factories by utilities, who are openly disregarding the plight of the people who are unable to heat their houses or prepare food.
Because the nation’s natural gas reserves are running low, caretaker Power Minister Muhammad Ali informed the populace in October of last year that gas will only be accessible for eight hours during the winter.
